The Chairperson of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency has permitted the Company to carry out site selection activities for Unit 8 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant.

On 18 February 2025, Kozloduy NPP - New Capacities EAD submitted a package of documents to the Nuclear Regulatory Agency with the aim of obtaining a Site Location Permit for a nuclear facility - a nuclear power unit at a nuclear power plant (Unit 8). Following a thorough regulatory review on 27 October 2025, the Chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency authorised the Company to carry out site selection activities, thereby initiating the permitting and licensing regime for Unit 8. 8-block NPP permission
