The new management of „Kozloduy NPP – New Capacities“ held its first working meeting with the senior management of the Westinghouse and Hyundai Engineering & Construction consortium.
On 9 July 2026, the new management of „Kozloduy NPP – New Capacities“ EAD held its first official working meeting with representatives of the senior management of Westinghouse and Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C), dedicated to the development of the project for the construction of new nuclear capacities at the Kozloduy NPP site.
Representing the company were members of the Board of Directors – executive director Alexander Mihaylov, chairman of the Board of Directors Lyuben Marinov, as well as Miroslav Damyanov and Hristiyan Yanev. Westinghouse was represented by Aziz Dag, Senior Vice President of the company, and Elias Gedeon, Senior Vice President for New Nuclear Projects, and Hyundai Engineering & Construction by Dalwon Shin, Vice President of the Nuclear Solutions Division, Youngju Kim, Project Director for Bulgaria, and others.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed the progress made on the project to date, the current status of key activities, and the analyses being undertaken to optimise the subsequent stages of its implementation.
Within the discussion, the importance of good coordination, open dialogue, and effective cooperation between all project participants was highlighted.
The working meeting laid the foundation for future constructive engagement between the company's new management and our international partners.
