The review of the documentation related to the approval of the site for Unit 7 of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant has been completed.

On 16.01.2018. The Nuclear Regulatory Agency presented a report on its activities to the public and the media. In its report, the NRA informed that last year the review of the documentation related to the approval of a site for the 7th unit of the Kozloduy NPP was completed. We recall that in 2015, New Power submitted a complete set of documents for issuing an order for approval of a location for a nuclear facility - a nuclear power plant. The Chairman of the NRA specified that according to the country's regulations, the site will be approved after a Decision of the Ministry of Environment and Water to approve an Environmental Impact Assessment Report has entered into force. This decision was issued in 2015, but is being appealed by non-governmental organizations. In November 2017, New Power filed a request with the Supreme Administrative Court for preliminary execution of the Decision of the Ministry of Environment and Water.
