Joint seminar of New Energies and the Bulgarian Nuclear Society
In the period May 11-13, 2018, a joint seminar was held at Park Hotel Asarel, Panagyurishte, between "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD and the Youth Association of the Bulgarian Nuclear Company.
The topic of the seminar was „"Nuclear energy - a sustainable solution for the development of electromobility - a responsible attitude towards the environment"“. The keynote speakers at the event were Lyuben Marinov – Executive Director of „Kozloduy NPP – New Build“ EAD, Mladen Mitev – Chairman of the Bulgarian Nuclear Company, Nina Ivanova – Head of „Administrative and Financial Activities“ at "Kozloduy NPP – New Build“ EAD and Vasil Kolchakov – representative of the National Industry Organization (Industrial Cluster for Electric Mobility) IKEM. The topics presented during the seminar were dedicated to the development of nuclear technologies and electromobility, as decisive factors for achieving sustainable development of the urban environment, supported by emission-free electricity production. The information presented by the speakers covered issues such as: new trends in the development of nuclear technologies; the emerging dependence between nuclear energy and electromobility on the way to achieving a sustainable solution to the proclaimed global fight against climate change; financing of nuclear projects and assessment of electricity costs; current state of electromobility in the country and future development prospects.
During the seminar, the management of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD extended congratulations to its employees and those of the sole owner of the capital - "Kozloduy NPP" EAD, on the occasion of marking six years since the establishment of the Company. Over the past six years, "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD has carried out significant research aimed at ensuring the development of nuclear energy in a manner that meets the state and public interest of the Republic of Bulgaria.
As part of the festive program, a solemn presentation of flowers and a tribute to the memory of the heroes who died in the April Uprising was organized in the Oborishte area near the town of Panagyurishte, where in 1876 the first Grand National Assembly in the history of Bulgaria was held, at which a decision was made to declare the April Uprising.
With many smiles, the entire team of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD wished to continue working with the same enthusiasm and dedication as before and through mutual efforts and striving to achieve our common goal, namely - preserving and improving nuclear knowledge, through the development of nuclear technologies that will ensure sustainable and competitive electricity production with a responsible attitude towards the state of the environment and the needs of Bulgarian society.
