The importance of engineers for the future of the Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant Units 7 and 8 project was the focus of a meeting between the management of the project company and students from the Technical University of Sofia.
The participants included the company's executive director, Petyo Ivanov, deputy executive directors Bogdan Dimitrov and Victoria Petrova, as well as other representatives of the company's team.
During the conversation, they outlined the career opportunities that new nuclear power facilities open up for young specialists. The project's implementation will require the involvement of hundreds of engineers, and these are precisely the people who will form the backbone of Bulgaria's largest project.
„It is more important than ever to talk about education. Because it is the future of every country. If we look at the development of leading economies, we will see that their driving force is not natural resources, but knowledge – education, science, technology and innovation,“ said Ivanov, adding to the students that they are entering a sector that truly needs them, a sector that guarantees long-term success.
Kozloduy NPP – New Capacities places a strong emphasis on engagement with young people and supporting their development, as a key factor for the sustainable development of the energy sector.
