Secondary School Nuclear Energy Conference
On March 12, 2017, in the House of Energy, Kozloduy, for another year, a high school conference was held, dedicated to "50 years of Bulgarian nuclear energy - safe, reliable, environmentally friendly" organized by WiN Bulgaria, under the patronage of KOZLODUY NPP EAD. The goal of the conference is to promote nuclear energy among young people from the earliest possible school age, focusing mainly on two key elements in this area: safety and environmental effects.
The competition was attended by high school students from 8th to 12th grade from the local schools "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" and "Hristo Botev" High School, PGNE "Igor Kurchatov" Kozloduy, and visiting students from Belene, who gave presentations and answered questions from established experts from Kozloduy NPP related to specific areas in nuclear energy such as safety, risk, safety culture, environment and emergency preparedness. During the competition, the participants demonstrated excellent preparation and remarkable knowledge in the field of their chosen topic in the field of nuclear energy.
