On 23.11.2017. within the framework of a knowledge exchange project, students and teachers from the Polyvalent High School "Charles Tellier", Conde-sur-Noirot, France, together with their partners from the Vocational High School of Nuclear Energy in Kozloduy, visited "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD. The purpose of the meeting was to exchange good practices in the field of education, career guidance and the needs of the labor market. During their stay, the guests were introduced to the activities of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD and received information about the project for the construction of a new nuclear power plant at the Kozloduy NPP site. The guests were accompanied by students and teachers from the Igor Kurchatov Nuclear Power Plant, Kozloduy, who earlier that month had a ten-day production practice in France, for which "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD and Kozloduy NPP provided active support. In France, Bulgarian students had the opportunity to visit the Flamanville NPP site, where a new power unit is under construction. During the visit of the French guests to the Company's office, a discussion was held, which discussed topics concerning the relationship between nuclear energy, energy in general and education. The students presented their work during the practical classes, as well as their impressions of the visits to Bulgaria.

Mr. Lyuben Marinov, Executive Director of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD, took part in the discussion, raising a number of questions and outlining the main difficulties accompanying the life cycle of nuclear power plants and facilities. The general opinion of those present was that human resources are of paramount importance for the energy sector, as well as for any other industry - in particular motivation, training, qualification, management and preservation of knowledge. In the final part of the meeting, the Company's team thanked the guests and expressed their intention for future cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of human resources development as a mandatory condition and a main factor in the implementation of each project.
