A detailed urban development plan has been launched for the site

On 31.03.2021. The project company "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" AD assigned "Geoconsult" OOD the development of a Detailed Development Plan - Regulation and Development Plan /PUP-PRZ/ of the site approved by the NRA order for the location of a nuclear facility - nuclear power plant. These activities will fulfill the regulatory requirements for the regulation of the territory falling within the scope of the site.

The draft of the PUP - PRZ will determine the general rules and norms for the development and construction of the territory on which the new nuclear power plant will be located. The plan will determine the boundaries, specific purpose and method of development of the regulated land property (RPL). An analysis of production connections outside the site of the new nuclear power plant will be carried out and its interaction with other production units located on the site of the Kozloduy NPP will be linked. The sites and sites of the State Enterprise "RAO", "ESO" EAD, etc. will be taken into account. The draft of the PUP - PRZ will be accompanied by the necessary parcel plans for the conduits, linear facilities and the road for heavy loads, the displacement of which is justified by the design decision.

The preparation of a Detailed Development Plan represents the implementation of another step of the Licensing Plan and a stage of the sustainable development of the project for New Nuclear Capacity at Kozloduy NPP.

The prepared RDP is expected by the end of the year.

Change in the management of „Kozloduy NPP - New Capacities“ EAD

With a decision of 5 June 2026, the Board of Directors of Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant EAD, in its capacity as the sole owner of the capital of Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant – New Capacities EAD, adopted changes in the management of the project company. The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Alex Nestor, the Executive Director, Mr. Petio Ivanov, as well as members Mr. Georgi [...] have been dismissed.
