On November 3, a new youth project "Young specialists work for the future of nuclear energy in Bulgaria" will be launched at the Technical University - Sofia, which includes the joint development of an applied engineering task.
On September 25, 2017, a meeting was held on the territory of Kozloduy NPP with representatives of the Japan Atomic Industry Forum (JAIF) and the Japan Cooperation Center at JAIF, at the initiative of the Executive Director of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build", Mr. Lyuben Marinov.
"The project to build new nuclear power plants in Bulgaria cannot be implemented without the participation of the state, but it is absurd for the government to finance it alone," Valentin Nikolov, Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Energy Committee, told the conference participants.
The goal of the planned initiative is to solve the already acute problem of the lack of personnel in the nuclear energy sector. According to Lyuben Marinov, Executive Director of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build", the lack of personnel is largely the fault of the organizations in the nuclear sector themselves.
Today, along with Europe Day, we also celebrate the establishment of the project company "Five years of Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD. In 2012, Kozloduy NPP EAD, in implementation of a Decision of the Council of Ministers, established a project company for the implementation of the project "New nuclear capacity at Kozloduy NPP".
For the third consecutive year, students from the Master's program "Economics and Management in Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities" at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" visited the office of the project company "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD to learn about the activities under the project for the construction of a new nuclear power plant of the latest generation at the Kozloduy NPP site.
