Mayors from the Northwestern region want the construction of a new nuclear power capacity at the Kozloduy NPP site.„
The Executive Director of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD, Lyuben Marinov, attended an open discussion on the topic "Construction of a new nuclear capacity at the Kozloduy NPP site - prospects for the development of the Northwestern planning region", which was held on 20.06.2013. in the Meeting Hall of the Kozloduy Municipality.
The meeting was organized on the initiative of Rumen Manoev - Mayor of Kozloduy. Representatives of the regional administrations in Vratsa and Montana, of the municipalities of Oryahovo, Mizia, Byala Slatina, Hayredin, Lom, Knezha, Vulchedrum, municipal councilors, Georgi Gyoshev from the State Enterprise "Radioactive Waste". Those present united around the opinion that by holding this meeting and with the declared intentions, the aim is to reaffirm to the new rulers the firm conviction of the local authorities in the North-West region that the activities on the implementation of the project for the construction of a new nuclear power plant at the Kozloduy NPP site must continue, which is imperative in view of accelerating the economic and social development of the region.
