Participation of „Kozloduy NPP – New Capacities“ EAD at the Bulatom Conference 2024 entitled „The Bulgarian Nuclear Energy – National, Regional and Global Energy Security“

The traditional annual conference of the Bulgarian Atomic Forum will kick off on June 5, 2024, at the Riviera resort complex near Varna. This year, it is being held under the motto "Bulgarian Nuclear Energy - National, Regional and Global Energy Security".
Leading representatives of the Bulgarian and global energy sector will participate in the conference - government officials, managers and experts from leading energy companies, the Chairman of the Nuclear Regulatory Agency and leading experts from the agency, representatives of the non-governmental sector, the media, etc.
The team of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD is represented by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Alex Nestor, members Krasimir Kamenov, Georgi Dobrev and Yanko Dzhinkov, Executive Director Petyo Ivanov, Lyuben Marinov - Deputy Executive Director and Bilyana Simeonova - Director of the Safety Directorate.
The Executive Director of "Kozloduy NPP – New Build" EAD welcomed the conference participants with a welcoming address, in which he highlighted the importance of the project for new nuclear power plants with AP1000 reactors at the Kozloduy NPP site. He emphasized that along with the transformation of the energy sector in Bulgaria, a number of challenges are also emerging, one of the most important of which is related to the staffing of the project. Petyo Ivanov added that resolving the staffing challenges requires close and coordinated cooperation between all stakeholders, including government institutions, energy companies, educational institutions and society as a whole. In conclusion, the Executive Director of "Kozloduy NPP - New Build" EAD confirmed the project company's commitment to deepening joint activities with organizations such as Bulatom, stating that joint work will provide new perspectives and solutions both for the project to build new nuclear capacities at the Kozloduy NPP site and for the development of nuclear energy in Bulgaria as a whole.
