“Kozloduy NPP – New Build” EAD is a project-based company, owned by “Kozloduy NPP” EAD. Our mission is to implement and complete a project for the commissioning of two new nuclear power units to produce electricity and heat on the site of the existing nuclear power plant in Kozloduy.
“Kozloduy NPP – New Build” EAD manages the entire process of feasibility studies, design, construction, and commissioning of the latest generation (III or III+) AP1000 light water pressurized water reactor (PWR) technology.
As the project enters an active and strategically important phase, we are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Head of Site Analysis Department to join our team.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and coordinate the activities of the Site Analysis Department, ensuring effective planning, allocation, and control of analytical tasks related to site conditions and safety.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of site characteristics, including geological, hydrogeological, seismological, hydrological, and meteorological factors influencing the safe siting and operation of facilities.
- Plan and oversee monitoring, measurements, modeling, and data interpretation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and technical reliability.
- Manage and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of experts, providing leadership, direction, and alignment across analytical activities.
- Take responsibility for site-related safety and risk assessments, including analysis of natural and man-made hazards and contribution to safety documentation.
- Evaluate scenarios, site limits, and acceptance criteria in line with project and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable national and international standards, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Prepare technical reports, expert opinions, and documentation for audits, reviews, and licensing processes.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, environmental, and project teams to ensure alignment across disciplines.
- Present analytical results, conclusions, and recommendations to senior management and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities.
We Are Looking for Someone Who Has
- Proven expertise in site characterization and analysis for large industrial and/or nuclear facilities.
- Experience in leading and coordinating complex analytical activities, including monitoring, modeling, data interpretation, and risk assessment.
- Strong background in safety assessment and regulatory documentation.
- Solid understanding of applicable standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements related to site evaluation and licensing.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Bulgarian is considered an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in technical meetings, audits, and reviews at national and international level.
